Old Cleeve is one of
the most beautiful and historic villages in west Somerset. It was
even mentioned in the Domesday Book.
At the heart of the village is our community hall, which is available for hire.
The community hall is an ideal venue for weddings, parties, dances, meetings, classes, sports, clubs, elections, shows, musicals, stage performances etc. A licensed bar can be available.
We share our car park and entrance with the Lysaght Club with whom we work in close partnership to serve the local community. Both the Hall and the Club were donated to the village in 1923 by our local landowner and benefactor, Gerald Lysaght. In recent years the building has been upgraded with a modern kitchen, toilets, heating, lighting and disabled access to all areas.
